Paul Wells guilty of forging a receipt for £4.7/-  and altering “2” to “3” I the date thereof and uttering it in the parish of All Saints, Oxford on 21st July 1748 with intent to defraud Elizabeth Croke.

An Authentic Account of the life of Paul Wells who was executed at Oxford, September 1 1749.  Execution ordered for 18 August but respited a fortnight.
